The Way We Breathe

Relax
Close your eyes
Now look inside
Unfold in yourself
This is where you live, Man
You just think its all out there
Trapped in the details
Just like everybody else
No, it ain't God in there with you
That's you and your machine
Your illusion
Trust me, flesh dampens consciousness
Our daily perceptions of Reality
Are reflections of reflections
Awareness is a mirror
Reflecting its own image
From the mirror of Reality
Which reflects its image
From the mirror of Awareness
Reality is reflected in our Awareness
Awareness is a reflection
Of Reality reflecting
Awareness reflecting Reality
Forever
Ain't no Reality without Awareness
Awareness can't happen without Reality
And ain't neither one what they appear to be
Least ways that I'm aware of in reality
Little joke there, son! Loosen up!
Let a deep breath happen
No, man . . . Let it happen
Be the container for it
Don't try to trap it, hold it
Let it come to you
We cannot make this happen , baby
All we can do is wait
There it is, you see?
Let it fill you
Don't be a shop vac or a leaf blower, now
Just relax and let the air drive
You'll know when its ready to go
Uh-huh, it is easy
You did it as a baby
Gets harder as you age
We tend to wander from the Primary Reflection
How far all depends on the machine we build
And how real we believe it into being
Yeah, you keep on
Learn how to breath free and know it
Then maybe you'll be ready for the real work
What work, you say?
Why, to live your life the way you breathe, Bro'
A life that is the sleeping child's deepest breath
