The Witch's Rap

Age Group: Adult
All good Witches gather 'round
Cast a circle and party down
Join the Lady and the Lord,
I guarantee you won't be bored.
We gather on this moon filled night
cuz we love the Lady with all our might.
She has style and She has grace,
so we're not the kind to get in your face.
We cast a circle of sacred space
and seek love and light in this holy place.
North, South, East and West.
We ask of them to be our guest.
We light the candles, invoke them there
dance around the circle, let loose our hair.
We raise the power and send it out
with the Lord and Lady there is no doubt.
What we ask we shall receive
and with Their love we shall never leave.
For in the light we walk this day
with the Lord and Lady come what may.
So never again the burning times
and I hope you've listened to my rhymes.
We're no different than any of you,
wether you're christian, wether you're jew.
Wether you're white, black, yellow or red
we hope that part of the past is dead.
We all have so much to give,
so please............live and let live.
Author's Notes: This came to me after I was verbally attacked in a public library because I was wearing a crystal.
The gentleman proceeded to tell me I was going to HELL!
I tried to talk calmly and quietly to him but he didn't want to hear my side.
We were starting to draw an audience so I simply told him. " You have the right to believe the way you want to and I have the right to believe the way I want to. I hope you have a really great life but I'm finished with this conversation."
Befor I walked away another gentleman stopped me and said he "would have liked to have heard more and that I stopped to soon, it was just getting interesting."
So I told him that if he truly wanted to learn to read some books I pointed out to him and I'd meet him back at the library in three weeks, same time.
He showed up and we have been friends ever since.
The Goddess always works Her magic.
