Weary One

Weary one come lay your head upon my lap
I’ll feed you and I’ll sing for you to take a restful nap
Feel my warm skin as it glows to give you energy
All these actions out of love for you to ride with me
As you slumber in your dreams you will feel revived
I’ll keep you, hold you close to me and you’ll absorb my light
Struggle made the day draw near sooner than expected
Notwithstanding the way war sways know you are protected
Gentle soul yet gruff hard skin
Trust in me and you will win
