Tranquil Showers

Such a simple, blissful thing!
As hand fulls of rose petals
Tossed into an air
That scatters the scented pinks....
Tranquil Showers captured
in a playful breeze
That trickles waves of flakes...
An aromatic overture
Gently bouncing
Off my face and shoulders.
Author's Notes: My grandmother has a huge rose bush that grows the sweetest smelling roses that I have ever come across.
One fall day the roses were fading, and when lightly touched, they would willingly drop all of their petals. The rosebush, my grandmother, aunt, and I tossed them all in the air, danced, laughed, and played. I hope you share the joy in my poem.
