soul mates

you leaving me has hurt me inside
i thought you loved me
as much as i loved you.
i miss your blonde hair
i miss your soft skin
and your soft, kind voice
and most importantly,
i miss the way you looked at me.
you said we were soulmates
and i believed you.
you said we were going to love each other
and i believed you.
now i look at you
with another woman
and it breaks my heart.
when you look at me
i look away in disgust
at the way you treated me
in the end.
but i still love you
end the way it ended
between us.
and i wish that you
and me would become
soulmates like we planned.
Author's Notes: this poem was written from my pain that came from my las break up.
