Cycle of Rebirth

Age Group: Adult
Winter is a dark time, a silent time, a sleep time;
Like Grandfather Bear we burrow into the womb cave.
Our Spirits remember the ancient cycles;
Though they are nothing but a dim memory, a faint spark.
In surreal dream time waters we float, aware yet unaware;
Spirits that are tired rest and grow strong.
The Earth Mother cradles us in safe darkeness;
Lullabyes with voices made of wind through the pines.
But all cycles must end as everything must;
The Sun returns and calls to us through the darkness.
We are a spark reaching through the darkness;
Guided by Earth and encouraged by Sun, we reach.
Emerging from the safety of the womb cave, still reaching;
Our Spirits bask in the glory of rebirth.
A new beginning beckons us, drawing us into the light;
Reborn, rejuvenated, ready to face a new cycle.
