Hodge Podge

Hodge-podge kitchen pot witch
looking for a little Sacred space
oh wait all Space is Sacred
what I want is quiet so that I can hear
the wind the faeries the Goddess whisper
let me light a candle
smell of sage burning
the day has come to ask the High Priestess
reveal your secrets, share your wisdom
help me
following the Sun around the Wheel
living with Earth in mind
using Energy to aide my hopes and dreams
I hang pretty bells for the faeries
I raise my glass of wine to honor
Spirit, Deities, Ancestors and Sprites
I stand arms high hands open
Head back
Under the Full Moon
Asking the Goddess to pour down her love
Jump a blazing Fire
Every chance I get
For health, wealth and love
I chant drum and breathe
My admiration for the coming Season
Spoken with arms wrapped around trees
Hands cupping flower buds
Or scooping dirt
I am a pagan
A child of the Gracious Land around me
Eclectic to a fault
Incorporating the tales of old
The wisdom of Farmers and Scouts
I worship the Air
Earth, Fire and Water
The God and Goddess are my balance
Their light and love help me shine
Being a believer does not negate
Personal responsibility
I am my actions and words
I own my daily deeds
Community Children and Elders
Leaders and Followers
They need me to be
Strong honest and Present
My faith helps me to recognize
My own strength in all things
Daily advice from the stars
A spread of cards or stones
Lend me insight to, not dictate
Where I am today
And going tomorrow
My mind and body are but conduits
For what the Universe is hoping I will see
In myself or the world around me
Signs are abundant if I look around and up
Light the tallest candle for the Goddess
One for myself, oiled and inscribed
The third is for my purpose
My magickal working, my prayer
The altar is decorated with stones and tokens
A pile of dirt or salt
A glass of wine or water
Incense fills the air as I focus
Manifesting in my mind’s eye
The outcome of this petition
This conversation with the Energy
That fills and feeds us all
I thank the God and the Goddess
Of the Sun and of the Moon
I thank them for their light
For their love, reason and for their balance
I ask for the continued protection
And guidance
I offer my help and contribution to
The greater good
