Miranda Cries

“She cries, she weeps
in the endless dark
She fears, she sleeps
With a broken heart.
What can on do
to bring back the green
they can fight or flight
yet there is nor spring.
She runs, she hides
In the burning storm
That ravages her once enchanted home
Where once she played she now must fear
The nymphs dwelling is now a demon’s lair
Yet for every shadow there is a light
For an evil empowerment a guardian fights.
She cries, she weeps
but a seedling she sees
in another time with hope
in the wood of the green…”
Author's Notes: This is a piece I wrote as part of a much larger story. I have many other pieces that give glimpses into the world I see and also the fictional world I have created on paper, and I emphasize the difference. The metaphors I use in this piece and my full fictional text do, however, reflect the world I see. So Interpret how you shall of how "Miranda Cries".
