Here I stand

Here I stand, against many but I know the truth.
I will fight to be free I will fight to live.
I will not the drink the cool aid nor will I lose my soul, my being.
I am me
You do not control me nor do you own me
The gods have spoken, though me and around me
I know the truth now
The same truth you will not acknowledge because you don’t want to die
This truth you must believe in because if you don’t you will die
The gods have spoken
Did you not hear my screams? Did you not hear the screams of the gods? Or the ancestors?
How can you be so blind? How did I believe in you for so long?
Your masks have slipped and we saw it. Some still follow you
But I will not
I am my own witch
and I know that you don't care for me nor did you really love me
You never did
I will follow my own path now
I have cut my ties and burned everything you gave me
Yes I gave it all up, but know this
My name will be forever mine
So I say this now
Goodbye, I love you and wish for the best
But my time is over with you
I walk on my own.
