Drowned Out
by Not So Practical Witch
Age Group: Adult
The breath has gone from her lungs.
Her lips are as blue as the moon.
Her skin is as cold as ice.
Her life being taken too soon.
Her body was pulled from the water.
Her jet wet hair lay tangled on the ground.
She lived her life as the oldest daughter.
One that got lost and was never found.
Now the light has gone from her eyes.
No hope left in her soul.
She had no chance to say her good-byes.
She just hopes everybody knows.
Though her own life she took,
She was slowly being drowned.
Like the pages in her book,
eachone being ripped out.
I regret not taking her hand, letting her know that I was there.
Her life could have been spared, if life was at least a little fair.
Author's Notes: I wrote this poem at a point in my life when I felt completely alone and wanted to end my life...
