Song of the Wind

When the wind kisses your fingertips
Brushes your mind
You can feel the beat
Melodies of the world on your skin.
Wind whispers
Where it has been, where it will go.
Constantly in motion
Bringing secrets of the seasons
The power of air’s energy.
Wind lifts you up
Elevates your soul
Even sings in your ear
All which it encounters outside your door.
Wind cradles your limbs and drowns your words
Washes away all but its essence.
Moves inside you, is a part of you.
Wind is the music of the earth
The joy that resonates within it.
Wind paints a smile on your face
Shapes your senses.
Wind dances across your limbs
Spins the leaves in rhythmic spirals
Creates the breath of your life.
Wind is the ancient force of Mother Earth.
Wind chants notes of harmony
Hums the laughter of the sky.
Wind knows all.
Wind has songs of pasts long forgotten
Wisdom and knowledge of Gods above
Many paths to walk and lessons to learn
When the wind speaks, listen.
Author's Notes: The wind has always been a prominent and powerful force in my life. I've always felt changes in the wind and the different feel of the air around me in different parts of the year, and different weather patterns. Today I spontaneously decided to write about the beauty that it has imparted on me and share it with the world. Enjoy and Blessed Be!
