Season's Wheel: Ostara

Roads of Winter
Come to an end
The smells of Spring
Do now send
Persephone by name
Queen of the Dead
Bring blossoms and flowers to a head
Bones of the Earth
Be warmed by the Sun
Elements four become one
Turning now the Season's Wheel
Souls of the cold do they feel
The grace of the Heavens , in Helios' name
Earth and water, Wind and flame
We welcome She, whose name is Light
To cast the darkness from our sight
And emerge anew, sparked and bright
On this day of the warming light
Welcome Ostara!

Author's Notes: A great way to kick off Spring! I wrote this when I was feeling very lonely for Springtime. It turned out to be the Ostara invocation at my Circle. Funny how the Muses work....
