What Happened, Beautiful Man?
I stare at that smile,
Those dragon eyes,
How can this beautiful man
be guilty of life's deep accusations?
My heart does not want to believe
that such deception and deceit
can be inside that body.
The love we shared was real,
the sex we had was surreal,
the lies were there,
that I did not see,
but there were many clues,
to the deep dark secrets that you hid
within your heart and mind.
How can one be so deceitful and yet
so loving?
This is the quandary of mine.
I will not fall victim of your charm
nor will I ever take you back
but still I have those memories
of once ago when that soul was not as black!
Author's Notes: The man, the beautiful man, was my true soul-mate. He deceived me, he loved me, he hated me, he left me, he wouldn't let me alone, he now is gone and I am so grateful for that. Take care of yourself, beautiful man.......
