There comes a time in a woman's life
Where all the strength and knowledge
Reaches the surface of enlightenment
I have come to this place of enlightenment!
It has been a long personal journey ,
One filled with many bumps and pain,
One also filled with much happiness and courage to plunge onward.
The only way to survive what life has been for you,
Is to dig inside your "true being"
Never to be afraid to let your voice be heard.
My poetry is my voice, it speaks for my "true being"
We all have the capacity to find that "true being" within ourselves
If my poetry is a vehicle toward that goal,
I am very happy to be part of that journey in you,
I know I have inner strength beyond most people,
I love life and I love myself, that is the "true simple concept"
Happiness and tranquility, comes from within,
Not from another, nor from other things!
When you can believe this with your, mind, heart, and soul,
You would have found "Your True Being"!
Author's Notes: I was inspired to write this poem. A young lady wrote me an email about how much my poetry means to her. It touched me deeply to hear her story and know that I am making a difference by sharing "my voice". I dedicate this poem to a very strong and lovely young woman, This is for you and your son, Tanda.
