I Feel Nothing

I sit here at my desk,
back to work after a very emotional summer break,
My shop, a place where we spent many hours
Working together, creating wonderful costumes.
It is a bittersweet day for me today,
I have been flooded with so many memories
Of our days spent here together.
The most bittersweet memory, was the day
of "Return to Innocence"!
How you held me and danced with me that day
Makes me weep with emotion
I miss you so much,
I miss us so much,
Why did all of this happen?
I must remind myself
it is better this way,
You are not healthy for me
You will never be healthy enough for me.
I know this, and I am reminded each time
I see your picture or see that you are online.
Oh how can you live with yourself?
How can you not miss me?
I was so in love with you even up to that
last day you were here.
I know I loved you unconditionally,
I know I did all that I could do for you,
In the end all of it was not enough.
You were already onto another life,
One that didn't include me.
Now, my past love, "I want to feel "nothing" for you!
I will feel "nothing"!
Author's Notes: To feel nothing, is sometimes a beautiful thing, especially when you are trying to forget a lover, Don't fool yourself into thinking that it will be easy, It is taking me way too long to feel nothing, I am still working on it. I will feel nothing for this man, I know this, because it is the right thing to feel.
