I Have To Hate Him

"I Have To Hate Him"

I have to hate him because,
I still love him, and
I cannot ever go back there again,
For if I ever do, I will surely be gone,
Gone to another world that no one
Should ever go to.
That was a world of lies, deception,
darkness, evil, and non reality.
It was also a world of passion,
carefree abandonment, innocence
recaptured, a fierce passion for lust,
and a warped sense of love.
I was empowered to be,
The best lover to him.
I felt unbridled passion and love
for the first time in my life!
The sad truth is, that it was all
based on a lie on his part.
He was playing a game with my heart.
I fell for his line,
that was what I needed at that time.
He was good, always there,
saying the right words, doing the right things,
to make me believe that he deeply loved me.
I know now that it was all a lie,
All a game, he thought he could win.
Well, the joke was on him!
I found my integrity back,
and my pureness became stronger
than the need for him.
I thank my god and goddess for showing me,
The true meaning of the word "love".
I shall Hate Him, because I still love him.
It is the only way to complete my way to
that pure place of "real love"
So my love, I shall hate you forever!
Author's Notes: In order to really release and be done with an old love, sometimes it takes hating them, to move on. This is a realization that I just came up with this morning. I was talking to a dear friend and said to him: "I have to hate him, because I still love him". It was my inspiration for this poem. You must do whatever it takes to make you happy, and healthy. Even if it means hating someone. I am not a person that can live with this type of feeling, but in this case it is imperative for me. Peace, love and light, Amber Moonstone
