This Pain is real,
He is gone its surreal!
I have lost my soul mate
leaving me in a darkened state.
My mind is scrambled
I have rambled
Into the state of being numb
no solutions to come.
It was a great conversation last night
and then the struggle and fight
to be heard and understood
but you would
not listen to me
you could not see
what I was really trying to
Tell You!
I was merely trying to say,
I needed some time this day
to figure out my challenges thus far
and heal all of my scars.
I am feeling like I stepped back
to exactly one year ago, in fact.
It has been a year
since I have felt this tear.
I closed my heart
and you were able to part
those walls that were stuck
tightly closed, and with luck
I finally opened and allowed you
to penetrate that place of blue.
I have been so careful with my heart,
I swore I would never let it get torn apart,
and now I have let myself down,
I am back feeling about to drown.
To open is to grow,
But it hurts surely you know!
I have tried to compose the words
so that I can be heard
but those words will not flow
to find that light to glow.
and illuminate your understanding
of what is happening.
I am slipping into darkness,
I shall not allow this to come to pass,
I will grab onto any light that I can see,
and pull this from me.
I shall miss you,
I will always love you,
No one can ever touch
those places that you have.
Kiss your eyes,
one more time,
before you venture in the slipstreams
of your next journey.
Author's Notes: my soulmate, my lover, my friend, I do not have all the answers, I only know when I feel pain, and this lets me know that I am alive and kicking. I thought you weren't going to let me fall...........................
