"Choosing the Right Path"

I close my eyes and see
a yellow light with specks of gray.
Is it my light, what do you say?
It's as clear as a picture,
This vision that is in my head
It's as clear as the words that you said
My light was fading right before your eyes,
You said you were leaving my life
those words you spoke, cut like a knife.
"I cannot give you what you need
so I must go and let you free
to become the healer you were meant to be."
How did you know that was my path?
I never chose it but I knew,
that I would grow without you.
Time has passed, and I am thankful
that I have grown, just like you knew,
into the healer for which I was due.
Author's Notes: Sometimes when you are on an enlightened path, people come into your life for a specific reason. I was blessed with many of those people. I want to thank a few of them, T, April, Boo Boo, Ted, Sister Kim, and especially
my wonderful family, my four children.
