Season's Wheel: Yule

Roads of Winter
Start at the end
The smells of Yule
Do now send
Persephone by name
Queen of the Dead
Descend down Styx to the Land of the Dead
Bones of the Earth
No longer warmed by the Sun
Elements four become one
Turning now the Season's Wheel
Souls of the warmed do they feel
No longer the grace of the Heavens, in Helios' name
Earth and water, Wind and flame
We welcome He, whose name is Rebirth
To cast a blanket on the Earth
And emerge anew, sparked and bright
On this day of the warming changing light
Welcome Yule!
