Remeber That I Love You

The pasty pale skin
And dull brown eyes
So obvious is this
The pain that you hide
‘Remember that I love you’
Your words in the wind
You lay your head down gently
Upon soft, dying skin
I see you hold your head
For a moment or two
I see a face painted in white
The memory I have of you
A free spirited man
Laughing at the storm
‘Don’t cry my baby girl,
I’m just flying home’
