Night Time Prayer To Hekate
by Daughters of Hekate
Age Group: Adult
Hekate
Eternal One
Who from the time of the beginning
Held all things in balance
In the heavens, the earth and the seas.
I thank Thee for being complete in me.
Hekate
Goddess of the three ways
Ancient three-faced Lady
With flaming torches you guide the restless dead
And weary travelers lost in the darkest of nights.
I thank Thee for being my Guide.
Hekate
You who hold the keys to the mysteries
Of Life, Death, and Rebirth
Unlock for me the knowledge of my true self
And guide me on the path of spiritual evolution
And personal empowerment.
I thank Thee for being my Initiator.
Hekate
Now as I enter your classroom of sleep and dreams
Reveal to me my strengths and my weaknesses
My fears and how to rise above them
May I awake refreshed at the dawn of a new day
With lessons well learned and a few more steps taken
Along the road towards divinity.
I thank Thee for being my Teacher.
Author's Notes: After praying this prayer, I chant on a mala I made of 88 black beads the following:
Askei Kataskei Ero'n Oreo'n Io'r Mega Samnye'r Baui Phobantia Semne.
This is very good to do if you're doing dreamwork, for the realm of dreams and the otherworld belongs to Hekate.
