firewater

tonight i danced in the lingering past and certain future
where sand and ocean hold the time, the rhythm
betting on joy and fertile creation.
tides of thoughts caress the wound that silence scrapes open countless moments since i left.
Aphrodite's salt.
I scream.
And the turning away
of the revelrie
as i land on the feet gravity enslaves
to meet the horizon.
my heart then, knows not time
eternally hopeful
i jump in and someone throws it back to me for a lifejacket.
but catch a burning ember?
no wonder. I scream.
firewater.
save yourself, player
from
Another gamble.
I cry for change.
I cry for to give myself a chance to let time
play the game instead
to balance firewater.
and its your turn, your turn, stillness.
find me dancing between the sea and the sand
my phoenix heart within my chest
will jewel from burning embers given to time.
