Battlemage

Hovering with a dusty book arched open in hand, the other hand skimming a page while chanting to self.
Legs folded in a meditative fashion, eyes gloss over blood red then begin to flicker and dance like a burning ember in the breeze.
The Mage amasses his strength, analyzing his Sigils in preparation for battle.
Author's Notes: I was brainstorming about various things one night, and as I tried to start by blanking my mind to clear the "background noise" before starting a thought expieriment, this began to form. It was partly inspired by some music I listened to prior, a band called Demons & Wizards. This poetry\prose in no way reflects or copies the said artists' lyrics, only reproduces its charge and emotion.
