Child Ghosts

There were Child Ghosts
in the house down the
way, I knew what they
were, but, just not their
fates.
I went in, because I
like to "look around",
but, suddenly,
"something" made an
odd little sound.
I went a little farther
to search, maybe
upstairs,
and then I saw one,
and then he
just disappeared.
I called out kindly
"It's okay, it's
alright!"
and then all three
of them, jumped
into sight!
I asked "do you
all live here, have you
been here for years?"
and they looked at
each other, and
their faces had tears.
"It's okay, come on
now, I will listen to you,
DO you need a person
who will come hear
the truth?"
Well, after tears came
and went, they each had
their say,
they were "left" to their
own, on a long cold
winter's day!
They tried to fend off
all of the snow, but, the
house had the chills, it
was a no-go!
Each little boy
had died in his
sleep,
while waiting
for a "Somebody"
to find
their "heap".
Years and years ,
passed quickly by,
but they stayed
together,
(they didn't
know why)
"and till today, till you showed
up here, we never thought
that people would care!"
I looked at them smiling
and wished I could hug
each one of those children
so safe and so snug...
but, I said" hold on,
I think you have to fly, ...
there is the light,
go boys, that's right!
As they walked towards
the beam, I said goodbye,
and they left smiling
with tears in their eyes!
"I will remember to
talk about you,
because you are loved,
and that is the truth!
and so goes this story,
from beginning to end,
I feel great, because
I have helped
some young
friends......
If there is ever a time,
that spirits need you,
and need you alot,
please be a friend,
to spirits, that time /and people
have forgot!
