Song by the Seashore...

We danced in the moonlight,
near the balmy sea,
there were ripples in the
ocean, as I let you drift
away from me...
You were sailing on
a wood raft, you
were sailing alone,
you were sailing
into the ocean,
heading to your home...
I walked in the moonlight,
I walked all alone,
I walked with the shadows,
of my past,
now, on my own...
I still sit and think
and wonder now
and then,
if you and I ,
could have been
together, maybe
even back then?....
I let go of you, so long
long ago,
I let go of love, for
it was meant
to be so.......
The winds are a singing
down by the shore,
they are singing a
song " we are no more!"
But, I do not stay to listen,
for my heart says "go on,
you'll soon meet another,
and this will last long!
I did love you, far back in time,
but, I have a new love,
and I know that he's Mine!

I sort of had some ideas in my mind about this poem..there are many folk songs about "true loves" that usually do not work out...and this is what was in my mind a little bit....it's is a VERY difficult and most "unfun" thing to have to bear and deal with...I have been there, as well as many others ....but, I just wanted to write a simple poem... that just "said it all!" basically....I love folk songs, even if they are sad!
To those that may be suffering now, ...whatever you do, "never say never!" because you are gonna find a wonderful person if you don't give up!!!!
(I honestly never ever thought that I would find a person and "fall in love"..but, I did, and I am still a very happy person! SO I wish you to also find love as well!)
