Little me...

Age Group: Adult
When I look back at
little me, I think
if only I could warn her, if
only I could tell her....
When I see the photos' of
the me long ago,
I see a happy silly child, full
of fun, not meek, nor mild!
When I go back into
photobooks, and
see the goofy childish
looks, I think, gone are
those tender years,
I know reality, and
most of life's fears....
When I dream of
little me, doing the
things I did, sweetly,
like dancing in my
ballet suits, and
and hamming it
up for moms'
"home movie
shoots",
I remember fond
memories..
of me, just being
me and having fun
to boot!
When I recall the
fun of it all, like
climbing trees, playing
kick-ball, and hopscotch,
and playing house, and
mud pies galore......
then I recall my "treasured"
moments, and thoughts
of so many "good" times
and more!
I remember being
just little me,
dressing up, and
playing "barbie",
playing games, and
being sorry,
for teasing my brother,
yeah, he was a pain, but,
I would go "back" to
do my life all
over again!
Yeah little me, had
a lot of fun,
I got to play, not work
that was the way
our life was run!
Just enjoying the
plums off the trees,
and playing all day,
and scraping my knees!
Just some little thoughts
now and then,
makes me think of those
times , again and again!

Sometimes you get to go back and think about what you did as a child...and it's pleasant...
for all of those who didn't have a great childhood, I hope that your adulthood is better everyday, for the rest of your life! And, do something really wonderful, just for you!!!!
