Daddy....

Sometimes, I cry,
then I feel silly, and
begin to dry my eyes....
but, I was just thinkin'
of you, this minute, and,
how I wish you were
in my life,
"still in it"....
talking with me,
and cracking old
jokes, sitting near
by, and having a smoke...
Sometimes , .....
something's make me
think of you,
I break down, but,
(this isn't new...)
I just really miss
the person,
that I looked
up to...
You were MY dad,
a good guy,
this is the truth!
I now find my self,
finally heading...
towards a new life, ......
....."my wedding!"
I guess, everything's
"hittin' the fan",
cuz' I'm REALLY thinkin'
of you, old , man!
You will never be
that far away....
not even on MY
special day!
Daddy,
Just had to tell
you this...
so that you
got your hug
and kiss!

Written Monday May, 28th 2006 (Memorial Day)
I was just sitting in my living room, and I just
started crying! It hit me, maybe because of a t.v. show, or perhaps just me!
I sometimes really miss him...he was
a kind and funny person....I wish that he
were still alive...but, this poem, is for him!
( I had a hard time even writing this poem!)
