Blogging the Positive on Diabetes......

Diabetic Coma!
Well, almost!
That is what some people think,
that I was deathly ill...or something to that
effect......
however, 769, is no number to mess with.
A Diabetic NOW!
SOmething I never thought
I'd be!
But, I deal with this fate, each
day, and each day is a "new day",
for me.
Diabetes, it's a disease.
SOme people look at you,
funny....like, "what the heck
do you mean?" when you
order from a restaurant.
Diabetes, can kill,
if you let it......
But, I won't! I will try
my damndest to
prevent this disease
from "coming after me!"
Diabetic and disoriented,
couldn't see anything to save
my butt! !! First, couldn't see
far away, second, couldn't see
close up!
SOmething was VeRy WrOnG!
I had NO clue!
I had no clue for nearly five years
or even more....that I had diabetes!
It's strange my doctor didn't pick
up on it!?????
Now, I know, and now I work
to get the sugar down, so it
won't affect my life, like it did,
for years and years!
Diabetes means, eating less,
losing weight, walking,
ExErCiSe!!! AND sWEAT!
I'll MaNaGe, because I must!
This is my life, AgAiN!!!!
Renewed!
Diabetes is an answer to being
a better eater, a better sleeper,
a more scheduled person, .....
It changes you because it changes
your body, what you can "take" and
what you cannot, any longer.
Be good to your pancreas!
Smile down on your life.
Take charge of your body!
Don't let this disease,
"take you"!
"Remember that saying from
Mothers of the world? "I put you
into this world, and
I can take you out?!"
Well, don't let the diabetes
be your momma!
Take one day at a time, and appreciate
what you have left, and then deal with it, on
your own terms!!!You don't have to
shrivel up and die......you have to
yawn and stretch, and say "Okay, world!
Here I come!"

Sometimes I read things that are scary, regarding Diabetes....I start to cringe...but, then I say "Hey!, now wait a minute! This doesn't mean that if I have it, that ThEsE things are going to happen for sure...to me! I need to stop going into those negative spaces, and start rethinking all of my thougthts! Gotta really take care of ME.....cuz' there's ONLY one of Me!!!
So, if you have diabetes and you feel down, rethink those thoughts, "it could be worse!" and "you are doing a great job....and think positive thoughts!!!
