A Walk with a Faerie....

"Hey! LIttle one, come over here!"
I called to the Faerie, her face, full of fear.
"I will not harm you, or step on your home,
I will watch over, and see where you roam!"
The Faerie she twinkled, and giggled
a little, she stepped over to me, and jumped
on my middle. "Who are you, why are you..uh,
why are you here?"
she asked me, she'd lost all her
fear.
"I am just walking, and getting some air,
would you like to stroll with me, .... friend,
if you'd care?!" I hold out my hand, and she
jumps on to it, we stroll by the flowers,
and she bends down to sit.
"I like this garden!" she exclaims happily.
I come here to dream, think and be me!
I have special friends that I like to play with,
they live 'neath the flowers, and inside of
the mists.
Come let me show you, a world
you don't know, this is the world
of us , faeries, who grow, in the tall green
grasses, flowers , and stones,
we all live here, we play, and we roam!"
I looked and I saw, her beautiful land
the flowers were blooming, and faeries
danced to a "band". The faeries were
happy and content, as ever, it made me
smile, for they danced so clever!
"Come little one, I shall put you
at home, so you may go rest,
dance or yet roam. Thank you for showing
me such a great time, I hope that
one day, I will come show you mine!"
"I live not far, but, in a vast place!
I will take you there, and show you
that space! You and I are from different
zones, but we both call it, home sweet home!"
The Faerie, she curtseyed n'
stepped from my hand,
"thank you so much, yes, , someday
show me YOUR land!"
We said our goodbyes, and set off ,
down our paths
I looked back to see her, with one
fleeting glance, but, she had gone,
no footprints anywhere, I guess she used
magick to get back to her lair!
