The Fear that keeps Waiting........

I know that
you have
FEAR
that is so
frightening,
that you just
cannot even
talk about it.
It isn't just
the "thing"
that
scares you
the most,
but, FEAR itself!
It is a
horrifying journey
into a place
that is so real
and so vivid,
that to recall this
space and time,
is catastrophic
and all you
really wish
is to just ,
run from it..
.but,
sandwiched
between
the FEAR
and the
"thing" that
you run from,
you feel like
you are running
in circles,
round and round,
that you can never
get away from it,
for it will always
be there,
and you will
always have to
face it, no matter
what. You will
always know ,
that it IS there,
and it IS waiting....
yet to be noticed
again, and again,
it's never
going to end....
You tell yourself,
"I can deal with this,
it's not a BIG DEAL...."
But, when it
comes back to
smack you square
between the eyes
you think "This is
no big deal..."
and then you rethink
the whole thing ,
all over again.....
for when faced
with the actual
FEAR of what
you KNOW you
are afraid of...
it is not
something that
you can just
forget about...
it is always there,
and will always
be there, .....
waiting........
and waiting.....
and waiting.....

This is something I have dealt with, and God! It is soooo frustrating...to have to really deal with fear...
and as I was talking to my hubby ..he and I talked about the fear and realization of what soldiers have had to go thru..and things that they cannot deal with because of the fear that is so REAL and is NOT going to just "go away!"....
I just told him that I know "some" of what they feel, , , I have felt it, many, many times...in another form....I can acknowledge that fear.......this is a poem about how I see fear at certain times, and how I cannot get "rid" of the fears! It IS frightening...and you have to tough it out, the best way that you know how! (and perhaps , there is no right or no wrong way of doing it!...I don't know all of the answers, myself!)
(Plus. many others who are not soldiers, have had to face fear...and yes, it CAN be the SAME exact fear...!!!...)
(Just a subject, I know a little bit more than I wanted to know about!..and for all of those that are frightened..out there, I understand....join hands because you are NOT alone!)
