Ode to the Humans of Next Door....

by Ladykelshan

Age Group: Adult

Ode to the Humans of Next Door….

Ode to the Humans that live next door,
The ones that live near by,
Even the ones who live semi- near
And ones with parallel lives..

You , and we, and all of us,
Don’t live, love, die so
You, and we, and all of us,
We simply try and try.

Each and every human
On Earth, we work hard
To just get by
Each and every human
Being, we continue on
To thrive…

Ode to the Humans
In the jungles of Brazil
And on the Islands too,
Humble are my thoughts
Of ones that know those
Lives., of endeavors
Tried and true.

Each and all human
Kind, has survived the times
Each and all human
Types have underestimated
Their own minds…

For we are stronger, than
We think, we can make it
We are durable, capable,
Yeah, and we will make
It thru…

We make it in this world
Because we just are
humans that can come
And go, whether near or

So, if you think that our species
Sucks, think oh, think again!
We are HERE to live “the life”
And prove ourselves,
Times ten!

Author's Notes: By ladykelshan
Written Monday October 9th, 2006

I dedicate this poem to the Amish, and the family that lost their father in the Amish killing, and to many, many other people that to me even though they are just doing their every day accomplishments, day to day, they are still really intriguing to me, , , and I learn so much from others, and I am so grateful for humans to be around me, so that I may learn, and watch and be interested in life and living In the life of and as a human being!

There are things that we all learn from everybody in this world, , , , one for me, is the fact that the Amish, (and this can happen with any "tribe or groups of people" that can forgive, and NOT judge....which I think is really fantastic....I sometimes think that not just me, but, others so many others get caught up in something and just "go with the flow" without noticing how other people may be reacting to a certain situation....i.e. the Salem Witch Trials, or the Holocaust, and the ways that people follow others, , , and don't think for themselves.....SCARY, huh!?

This Amish mourning, of the shooter, really brought me back to a good reality....and it made me sit and think...which is a good "brain thing" to do!!! ; -)

What is REAL Life?!!!
