You Are There.....

Age Group: Adult
You are there, because you chose,
To do a worldly bit of difference,
You sought out a belief like the many
Before us, that scoured the earth for
Ways to protect and defy the laws
That bind people to a terrible
Way of life, only to rearrange it
So that it can fit a new standard way
Of living and letting go.
You are there, as you are there
For many and not only some
Those that have already served
They nod you on, and hope to
God, that you stay safe, so carry
Onward, what seeds that they
Have sown…
The harvest is rich, and you must
Tend the soil..with energy and
Toil….
You are there, to fight for what is
Right, not to break down, nor give
Up, and give out…you are still
Standing for what you have always
Faithfully and unforgettably
Have …you will not forget those
Many that gave their lives for all
That came after ….you will not
Forsake the others that tore the
City down with their bare hands,
And marched on evenly…
No, You are there, ready to face
Whatever lies ahead, even if it is
A blank space, or danger ahead…
You stand diligently and adamant
With your head held high, you breathe
a sigh, and let it all flow out
You will carry on what the others
Have left behind ….and you will
Help to preserve any and everything
That you possibly can!
You are there!

This is for the U.S. Soldiers in Iraq.....I hope that you all keep on doing the best job, and stay safe, and glad that you are out there..I believe and support y'all out there! Good wishes , dreams and hopes for you all!
