Decent Into Madness

Pounding pounding in my head,
the sound of paws scratching at the door of my heart,
begging to come out,
to teach me,
to show me,
how it is to live wild,
but i'm not ready,
not yet,
not now,
my soul shouts inside of me,
begging to be free,
aching to sing,
to feel warm summer winds,
to gaze into the stars,
but i'm not ready,
not yet,
not now,
so my decent into maddness,
will just have to wait.
