Death
by Absentia
Age Group: Adult
Death is like a crawling darkness,
cold, tight fingers grip from within,
stealing breath away,
prying body from soul,
in a screaming, writhing fight,
to hold onto my life,
twisting to escape my enevitable fate,
scared and hopeless I tread through the dark,
wondering,
how much longer,
till I'm not strong enough to break free,
you can escape he but a few times,
my next chance may be my last.
