My Best Friend..........

When I was young , I had a friend,
She was my best friend, till
Her end…
Her mother killed her, and they
Went together, away from
Her daddy, they left
Forever….
I really missed her, and
I wanted her here!
But, nothing would bring
This friend of mine near…
Her mom, just did this,
Without any thought!
Her mommy took her
Wish I had fought,
To keep her alive,
With me, and away,
So that she’d still
Be here, and we
Could ‘ve still played!
It’s been many years
Now, but, even so, I have
Never , ever, ever, let this
friend of mine go….
I love you, I miss you,
You were so special to me,
You are on my mind,
And always in my constant
Memories…..
For my little friend,
Wherever you may be,
Hoping that you are
Loved, endlessly!

This poem is based on a true story....
I have a friend, whose sister had a best friend that lived down the street from her....her mother killed herself along with her young daughter....it really broke my friend's sister's heart...they were very close...like sisters!
Years later...she decided that she wanted to write and do a play on this story...and dedicate it in her memory!
and she did!
This is in memory of Caitlin's best friend...and in memory of other's out there like her who miss their best friends' forever too!
