My Little Friend

Age Group: Adult
No one can see you
when you come around.
You play with me, at
my house and the
playground.
We play on the slides,
climbing up, going down.
You make me laugh,
alot, I can hardly frown!
Your favorite games are
hide n' seek, and pretend.
We act out our favorite
characters, but, you're
still my best friend.
When other kids come
over to play, sometimes
you get sad, and walk
away.
But, when they go home,
I go to find you, to tell you,
"cheer up", and "don't be
so blue.!"
I may not always be able
to be with you, but, I'll always
love you, and that is the truth.
Some Children have
"imaginary friends", those
I can't even see! I have you,
and you're as real, as you can
be!
I try not to take you for granted,
cuz' I know, you've got things to
do too!
But, when you aren't busy, you
stay "planted", and with that,
you've always stayed "true".
Maybe someday, I'll move on,
leaving my "vision" behind.
But, you'll find a way, when I'm
gone, to reach out again, and
be kind...
to another child, like me,
who needs a friend like you,
who laughs, and pretends,
and plays all day, and of
whom is always true.
But for the time being,
all the time that you have,
we'll stick together, like
birds of a feather,
and play till we get to that
path.......

This poem was inspired by the show"Medium". The episode that I watched tonight, was about Alison's (the medium's) youngest daughter who had a spirit friend.
I thought how nice for her to have a great friend like that!! She really loved him alot!! And I have also heard a lot of other stories about ghost children befriending children still on earth...so this is in their honor, and also dedicated to young psychic's and children who care!
