Consumed…

Consumed by deathly wishes…
Not thinking straight, and
Heading out of here,
Leaving your reality,
Not realizing that life
Was dear….
You never wanted to
Wait a while, left in a haste
With a happy smile…
You left others to grieve
In pain and sorrow,
They think of what’s next,
On the tables of tomarrow…
You’ve moved on, with
Just a slight flair…
No band’s playing,
No sounds in the air….
You “about faced”
Your stroke , and went.
You couldn’t stay
Longer, had to leave,
If heaven sent…
But, you must be, in “hog heaven”
Now, looking down at all, and thinking
I really made it, Hey! WOW!
No longer having to deal with
Life’s little messes….no longer feeling
Like you can’t take all of the stresses.
You bowed out, and neatly too,
Got your wind, and flew, and flew
Time will pass, and the grieving
Will slow, because we know
That your spirit had to go…
So, where ever you may be,
In and around of this vicinity…
Just be aware, as the rest of us are…
That we know, that you
Are never very far…..

This is a poem, that I dedicate to a lady, whom I had only met once, in person, last summer..and is the mother to two older children of my husband...
she passed away, from a stroke, and other complications... She also was a severe "addict" and unfortunately, that really set in to her body..and made everything so much worse...but, I just wanted to really write something in memory of her...the way that I see it, is she was a mom...perhaps meddalsome at times..but, still she was a Mother...and it's just very upsetting to suddenly find out that she had passed away.. She never regained conciousness....
Where ever you may be, "F", I hope that you are in a better place, , and happy, &., . (with no more drugs) !!!
