Grandma,
I think a lot about us…
I think and wish, that we could
Have met….somehow, we both
Could have and yet, sometimes
I think, maybe I might already know
This wonderful person, in my mind
I can feel her soul…
You and I are sort of the
Same…people say, I look
Like you…I’ve seen your photos
And think , could this be true?
You had a really lovely face..
You seemed like you had
So much “grace”.
I truly wish, with heart and soul,
That I could have met you, so
Long ago…when I was little
And you’d been alive…
I would have loved you
So much inside!
I would have cherished, our
Times together, , , I would
Have admired, this lady
So clever!
Grandma,
I love you, , even if
You’re not here, …I’ll
Love you forever, because I
Care…you're a part of me, and I ,
A part of you…and that is something
In our genes, that we cannot
Ever undo!
I just thought, that you should know…
How I feel, and that I love you so!

This is about my mother's mother..who passed away at age 68 from breast cancer...I never got to know her...but, there are times that I think secretly, that she and I may be a lot more similar...people have said that I am similar to her...I think that this is interesting....
but, I just really honestly wish that I could have had a chance to meet and know her...she sounded like a good person! A really nice and smart lady!!
