In My Mind…

In My Mind…
I was sooo lost..
And I was sooo in love
With U….but
U .
U were my fantasy
Nothing was “real”
About what I thought that
I had…with U.
In My mind…
I would believe, that
U were always right with
Me….that U cared..that U
Wanted and loved me, as I
Believed I was happy and
In love with only U…..
I believed that we were
“together”…that we loved
one another from far away…
that U knew what I was doing,
in my life..all of the time…
this is what I
secretly believed..
but I was wrong!
In My Mind…
I let this story, twine
Around my heart, soul
And mind…it grew like
The wild ivy grows on
Old storybook castles..
And it grew rambling
All over the palace
Grounds…
And one day…I tripped
upon it, and it stunned
Me…and left a hole, where
There once was a story,
And now there is nothing
And I am free, for it was all
In my mind……..
