Don’t Forget Them!

Don’t forget the guys that lie
In beds…those that don’t walk,
Talk or move their heads.
Don’t forget the ones that
quickly drool..
They are soldiers, no, … not fools!
Don’t forget the ones
that really tried..
They fought hard,
and didn’t die.
Don’t leave a room without “hello!”
Give them something, that helps
‘em show…
how much” umph”, that they have
left, how much life, left in them
yet!
Come show, that you still care,
Show them friendship, don’t
Put on airs..
They needed you then, and they
Need you still, be there for them
Show them you’re thrilled.
These soldiers who have made it
Thru, they are like all of us,
Me and you.
They need comfort, and they
Need friends,
Don’t ignore them, or pretend,
That” they’ll be alright, now that
They’re back”…they need us, to
Get back on track!!
When you have time, time
to spare, come and visit them,
And show them you care.!!!.

I wrote this, because of a story on the news...about soldiers that have come back from Iraq...they survived..but, nobody mentions these soldiers...the news only seems to mention the ones that have died...there are hundreds that are alive......and trying to get back into their lives...let's also NOT FORGET these soldiers....they are ALIVE!!! They made it! We can honor and salute them too!!!
In dedication to those and to their families...I just wanted to give my support to you all.I am impressed with what you have been trying to do...getting back your speech, and physical therapy...and more...GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!! I wish a lot more healthy recoveries to ALL!!!
and to friends, neighbors..and just people who might walk in to either Bethesda Naval Hospital, or Walter Reed Medical Centeror wherever soldiers are in recovery ....if there is a way...find a way to give them a smile or a laugh...that ALWAYS HELPS!!!!
They Made It!!!
Or to put it Harry Potter's Way :"The Men and Women Who Lived!!!" LOL!
