Facing the Truth….

I keep trying to face the inevitable…what I don’t want to see, ..ever..
What is bound to come, if I pursue the very things that I know are
Incased in black and white…there is no grey at all in between this,
And me.
If I only could know ahead of time, what or how, or when..then,
I will be the one on top of the whole deal…but until then, I follow
the two yellow lines, in my road..uncertain, indifferent in intervals.
Yearning for the truth, and having to wait, and be grateful instead.
You can’t always get what you waaannnnt! I keep learning this, over
and over…and it is ingrained in my mind, no matter where I go.I can’t
have what I most want…to let go, and just be FREE! I have to keep
myself “together”…Me, together! Hah! I cannot picture this..can anybody?
Can you? Do you realize maybe one day, I can…I can get it together..,
and I will still be rising to stand and smile and see myself in the mirror,
With radiance.
And I might then be FREE!

This is about my resistance to my diabetes...which I am having off and on...it is very difficult to follow those two yellow lines down the main road, for me! I am very much a "non-conformist"..and I bow to nobody, not even this disease! But, I have found if I don't "obey" I won't be able to speak up, anymore!
