Being True to Oneself...

I cannot make you like me..
cannot make you agree
with things that I think or feel
that are thoughts inside of me.
I cannot make you change
or be someone you're not.
I cannot ever force you,
to give it all you've got.
I have to know and realize
that things are what they are
and let those feelings be there
because they'll take us far.
You just being you, and I
just being me,
sets us closer and yet,
far beyond our reach.
You can believe in your thoughts,
and I believe in mine..
some of our thoughts are similar
and sometimes they entertwine.
But, there are some that stay
far and out of sight
for opinions that we share,
are neither "wrong or right".
So, you keep on believing
in all that you love to do,
and I will keep on caring,
and to myself be true.

Written Monday November 5th...
I wrote this rather quickly..but, it is about me being suddenly a judgmental person on some forums that I go on.I really thought (in my own mind) that I could get these people to see MY point of view..about how I was feeling inside..and more..but, it doesn't work that way..and I knew better..than to push my feelings of hurt and frustration onto them..I had lost my sense of being supportive of their thoughts and opinions..this is a really important thing...if you are on a forum..you gotta really try to just be a LOT more open minded..otherwise..you won't be anywhere, literally!!
They will boot you right on out of there!!
I have to get back to being a LOT more supportive..of other people's opinions..well, better than I was a bit before..!!
I can just Agree to DISagree with others..take some and lose the rest...that is the best way!! and always be supportive!!!
