Reality, or "My Life's Lecture!!!"

Age Group: Adult
I won't put up with your bull
you KNOW what you can do
to make your life mean more for you,
and to live life with more truth.
I will not speak to you, like you're a "child"
you live your life somewhat too "wild"
But, you need to see, what you refuse to see
that is, being "strong, " & not mild!
You need to learn to become more
"on top", of what you'd rather not
I come from having some "good things"..and
other times, from not.
You don't want to see" life's truth", &
You always run far away...
You cannot face what's in front of you,
you tend to put issues at bay.
Someday, you will see, that you
gave up on "your fight"....
when you could have tried harder
to make yourself "come out right!"
I worry for you, all of the time..
because you are stubborn with your mind..
You just do NOT want to see
what life has in store for you , in degrees!
You don't face "realities" at all,
you spend, and spend, & then you "fall"
You're wishing that you were more like me
but, the more that you act..you aren't "free!"
Well, I tried to tell you, what more can I say?
You are who you are..and probably won't change!
All I can do, is think about you, hope for the best
because you know this is TRUE!!!

This poem was inspired by a person in my family..actually...I had written a post about this person..on a message board..and then erased it..because I had felt that I was too mean and negative towards this person...but, this person basically told me what I am saying in this poem..once a long time ago...and while I don't like to hear it..it is the truth..UNfortunately!! I am extremely stubborn..and I just refuse to listen to people..when they tell me.."you had better do such and such!!" I rebel, every chance that I get!!! LOL!
This poem is about what she said to me! (changed the dialogue..but, it is pretty truthful anyhow!!)
