Sea of Glass

Sea of Glass
pieces I pick out of my feet,
how sweet, I found some blue,
and red too!
Blood, glass, cuts into my skin
shredded my feelings
and soul within...
I try to wade past the
angry voices in waves..
they rise and rise
till they shriek with
craze...
I swim thru the sharp
clear glassy waters
I start to cry and then
to falter..
I cannot stand
the sand is sinking
my face has fallen
and I am shrinking..
thru the hourglass
I begin to fall, now,
now, I feel so small.
I suddenly wake and
find it's a dream..
was this real?
that's how it seemed!!!
