For The Children.....

Did they REALLY love her
the way they always swore ?
If they really truly had, then
why is she here no more?
What would make a person
harm and hurt a child?
Why would they abandon
a young one so meek and mild?
Why the pain and bruises,
and emotional angst and hate?
why do people do this,
I gotta know, for goodness sake!
It's people just like this, that
really hurt your soul
knowing that they don't care
and that they are so bold!
I hope that all children heal
and in time know that we care
that most human beings
are not like those they feared!
Where ever you may be,
you aren't alone, you see!
This world has caring ones'
from sea to shining sea!
This poem is for the children
who have been thru way too much
they need our understanding and
large amounts of trust!
So if you were a child that
had to live this life of pain
Just know that there are
others who care
and will help you to regain...
all the love you lost and
what's left of living free
and being who you are
with peace and sanity.

I was inspired by a film about a little girl named Kelsey Briggs on a HumanityHealingFoundation video that I saw...it hurts to see that this happens to all ages of children! I knew people who were victims and I was as well!
I am sorry that people out there learned to distrust their caregivers and parents, and fosterparents and whomever else!
This world needs to start learning!!!!
