Living with Diabetes...

Living with Diabetes
I have to be so strong..
I have to be like a iron rod,
that never bends
if I even bow once, I
could lose all that I
have worked so hard
to help myself
improve on.
Living with Diabetes
I cannot give in,
I cannot bow, bend
or break...I must
forge on, regardless
of my wants, my needs
my own desires...
I must do what
everybody else
does...smile and deal
with it.
Living with Diabetes..
It is a set way.
You cannot alter what
you have learned..
you stay on the dotted
line.you do not stray!
You can only dream
that you have set foot
elsewhere..
for if and when
you put your self,
elsewhere
you are heading
towards oblivion..
and you won't know
where you will
end
up!
Living with Diabetes..
You do as you
are told
but, when you
break the "rules"
you also break
the continuance
of the regiment
of keeping things
under "lock and key."
When the rules
change, so does
everything else.
It's up to you, to
make sure that
you run a tight
ship and that
you never falter,
no matter what
because it will
cost you!!
Living with Diabetes..
is an uphill climb
and though I
constantly try
and try to make
things work
out "perfectly"
it is such an endless
struggle each day
and each day
it is a constant
reminder of
"keeping
it together"
and keeping
my perspective
on living and
life!
But, I try
anyways!!

There are times that I just feel so darn frustrated.and sad..I can't do what I used to be able to do..eat the foods that I loved so much, I have to be so careful.
I am living the straight and boring at times.. (this is just a poem about my frustrations..it helps to write..It really helps a lot!!)
If you also love to share and write and get points to trade in for cash or other good things..gather.com is a fantastic writing site..that is a site that I like writing on as well!
