My mind tries to forget
but my heart remembers
that day
not to long ago
in late November.
Yes, I remember.
Her skin was so soft , so smooth, so new
Her voice was a soft whisper
She fit so perfectly in my arms
in my heart.
the time came to rest my weary bones
My weakness over powering my dwindling strength
Then...Blackness
A sweet release
an unknowing lose
until I open my eyes
and the news greets me
my... great lose,
that is when I cry.
