The Beast

by Nighttingale
 Age Group: Adult

Something evil this way comes and yet I heed it not. For I am strong I stand my ground facing the terrible beast. It lets out a roar of annoyance, and yet I stand there tall with the beast towering above like a giant about to fall. I stand there calmly looking ahead, like it wasn’t there. It stomped its feet to make me run, but all it did was rustle my hair. I could tell it was mad, but I didn’t care. I could stand there all daylong and not move an inch. But the beast would surely fall away. So I stood there in front of the beast. I would not move, I would not budge. The beast got angry, raging mad. And yet, I would not move. He was furious. He raised his arms about to strike. But fell, dead to the ground. And I turned, and walked away.
