Queen of the woods 2003

Swiftly through the meadows breeze
Warming sun upon my knees
A kiss a thought from the willows trees
A rowans blessing
A oak confessing
Who am I
To the willows breeze
For they were here before I
To stand and freeze
Within the open breeze
I stand alone
Through time and space
I stand
Through love and war
I stand
A open hand
Upon this land
I am the nymph of the woods
I am the spirit of stone
Through ash oak and birch
I speak
Here my words
Listen to what I say
By day I rise
And by night I fall
To the woods I stay
To the woods I pray
To the woods I be
To the woods I will be free
Me.
Hail to me
Queen of the Woods

When I wrote this I thought of the trees and their songs. Their ancient magik and lore. I thought about how much they mean to us and how long the have existed in all this madness we call life. I wanted to be free like the trees. I wanted to sing. I wanted to bring life to their words. I hope you enjoy. So Drago Be.
