I see you,
Siblings--
Brethern:
All gathered
For the harvest
Of martyrs.
For that is
What you are:
Radiant, slain,
Immortal dead,
Who suffered
For our sake
And that of
A future multitude.
See, now:
Your fruits
Brought forth
From deep within
The ancient hearths
Of those who saw
Your execution--
Their children
Dance in circles.
Behold how
The spring begins
And chants are sung
To our Great Mother--
She who witnessed
What was done
Onto you and wept.
May She rejoice
In the new rites.
Let Beltane come,
And Lammas!
Midsummer's
Faery crossing,
parading stars
twinkling fair and light.
With Mabon
And Samhain
Rise the ghosts
Of those lost.
Brethern:
Hear us chant
In all the voices
Of Our Mother,
In all the places
Of the Earth.
